On the Line

Roller-coasters are amazing things! Their size and the anticipation when you’re standing in line waiting to get onto the adrenalin charged ride makes you want to turn back. Sitting in your seat while the carriage rises higher and higher make your hands grip the bar infront of you even tighter as you hold your breath, while you anticipate that sudden DROP!
When it’s all over you are left breathless with mixed feelings of excitement that you’ve just conquered the giant and sadness that after all that anticipation it's all over in less than a minute!
That’s about how most of the NGOConnect Africa team feels right now! After the slow tedious climb in preparation of the launch we are left with a sigh of relief and at the same time great excitement that NGOConnect Africa was found to be beneficial to all of you! Again, thanks for attending and making it all worthwhile!
Speaking of slow rises to the top, do you remember your first day at school? I remember it well! Wearing a uniform for the first time, large blue ribbons on either side of my head, I even had a bright yellow lunch box. At that time I thought, how will I ever finish school? Next thing I was entering my first year at high school and then Standard Ten (Grade 12). Everyone mentions how quickly time goes by and it’s not until you walk out of your school grounds for the last time that you can think to yourself “I’m actually done!”
Well, it’s that time of year again when another few thousand leave the school grounds in hope of a prosperous life ahead. We wish them the best of luck during their preparation for their final examinations. And, that’s exactly what we’ll be focusing on this month - Education and Youth Development.
It’s been wonderful chatting to you, until next time!
